In order to ensure protection of the natural vegetation, visitors are required to attend a short lecture prior to walking along the Ground Pathways. Reservation are required and fees apply.

Bears Active Season

Visitors are only allowed to join the tour with Shiretoko Goko Lakes' Registered Guides who are trained to deal with bears. Please contact the guides directly to make a reservation.

Free Activity Season
10/21 - Closing

During the off season visitations decrease therefore you are not required to attend the lecture and un-escorted tours are allowed. Please obtain updates regarding brown bears at the Shiretoko Goko Lakes' Field House.
※During the Eco Preservation Awareness Season please walk one-way along the short and long loop routes.
